This seems a more flexible way for me than just a > special kind of opening/position database. I thought we were planning both: * game databases with some index mechanisms for searching * position databases (I think this is referred to as "ebooks" under planned features on the ChexxX website, but I think the term is misleading as it can mean just about anything and everything). To my mind, these are completely different concepts. If you consider the interface sketch for a position database that I posted many months ago, then it seems to me that the operations are completely different from those one would expect from a game database. Also if I view the concepts abstractly, the difference seems huge to me. |
