Hi, there are many distros support Flatpak packages.

There is an unofficial Chessx package with a good download number: https://flathub.org/en/apps/net.sourceforge.Chessx

Chessx does not support portals at the moment:

XDG Desktop Portal allow Flatpak apps, and other desktop containment frameworks, to interact with the system in a secure and well defined way.

I am a bit at a loss with this request - if there is an existing working package - why should I bother to make changes?
Or asked the other way around: if it is not working - what will need to be addressed?
I actually do not support Unix packages as whenever I make one change for one distro, I immediately get complaints from other distributions.
