#222 Analysis Window: Engine MultiPV settings ignored

No

(a) When an engine is started in an Analysis Window, the preference setting for MultiPV > 1 is ignored; the program defaults the number of lines to 1.
(b) If the MultiPV is set to > 1 in the Analysis Window, that value is not saved in the chessx.ini file for future use.
It would be good if ChessX would follow the user's preferences.

Added in 1.6, the GUI will define the MultiPV, the engine-specific option is ignored

I have looked back at ChessX 1.5.7 and the the engine-specific MultiPV option was being ignored in the Analysis window in that version, so this behaviour is not something that was introduced in version 1.6.
It is annoying to set up MultiPV options for ones favourite engine(s) and then find that MultiPV has to be set to > 1, if desired, every time the Analysis window is run.

May I please ask you to think again about changing the program to use the MultiPV engine setting.

Modified the checked in version: If an engine has MultiPV set > 1, then this value is used. Otherwise, the GUI value is used (which is probably what most users will use - I bet 99% of users have never touched the engine option dialog.
