User Reviews

  • This functionality should surely be native to KeePass, but it's absence is a great example of how the plugin API can be used to extend the base software with useful features. There are certain websites where auto-type will enter the password into the username field every time and this sometimes requires disabling auto-type entirely for that site, but CheckPasswordBox effectively solves the problem and seems to work on >90% of websites. It works only on Windows, but this is unavoidable as the necessary controls are Windows-only. Thanks, Alex. P.S. If Auto-Type accidentally enters your password into a username or other field, I recommend changing your password at that site during that same visit, just to be safe. With KeePass, this often takes less than 1 minute, but I also recommend the Password Change Assistant plugin to further improve the process.
