#51 Error 401: Unauthorised

Hi, CheckGmail gives me this error when i try to connect.
The login prompt asks me to login, and then tells me to login again and again, stating "Error: Incorrect username or password"
Hovering over the icon gives me the 401 error.
I'm running Ubuntu Gusty 7.10 with version 1.12, Any ideas?

I have the same problem on openSUSE 10.3 - it seemed to appear alongside Google silently doubling my mailbox quota to 5700MB ... perhaps the two are related

This error has been solved in the lastest svn version.
(I'm assuming that it was a problem with access protocols @ GMail's end, and the CheckGmail code has been updated to accomodate this. I assume it will be included in the next release (not svn))

To update/fix CheckGmail: (In a terminal)

wget
http://checkgmail.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/\*checkout*/checkgmail/checkgmail
sudo mv checkgmail /usr/bin/
sudo chmod +x /usr/bin/checkgmail

This should fix it. (Thanks to hotweiss from the Ubuntu Forums for this!)

Yep, I can confirm this one, my guess is Google changed something in their authentication process (didn't that happen some time ago too?)
Hope you can fix this, I really like your program!

using the newest version... trying to connect with googleapps
domain shows up in prefs.xml but getting this error. connecting to gmail seemed to work but not my main apps account.
