Manufacturers of serial and parallel port A/D devices are invited to contribute C code that allows analog readings to be received into the Channel 8 Linux data acquisition system. The code required is very straightforward: it must be able to obtain up to 8 analog input values from the device and place them in a floating point array. Modification of existing server code provided in the Channel 8 project makes integration of new hardware with the Channel 8 system fast and easy.
