Alright folks, this is it... after about a month of work on and off on version 2.0.0 of CF_CheckForm I finally got the Versioning System working well enough to release it in Beta 1 for testing.

So go ahead and give it a try and let me know if you find any bugs or any quirks with it that I should fix.

Alright folks, this version is starting to be
overdue. I had started planning for this version
back in November but got so tied up at work and
all that I just had to put it on the back burner.

The good news about this is that I've since come
up with some great ideas and improvement. Some
from people I've talked to such as Ralph Fiol who
wrote cfObjects and John Griffin, a colleague of
mine while I worked at Newbridge Networks Crop
(now Alcatel) that has contributed much to this

Alright folks, it's been a while since I've posted
news and new work for that matter. So here's the
update.

I've decided to trash my original design for the
versioning system. It was a good idea but we found some issues with the design I had come up
with. The new system is self contained in a
custom tag and offers many new features that were
not thought of originally.

The idea was good but needed some more work. In
fact, it was so good that I even noticed that
Team Allaire created the same tag for Fusebox.
Amazing!

Alright folks, I just released the beta version for the versioning system
that will be part of the tag in version 2.0.0. If you find any bugs or

If anyone is interested in tackling any of the task we have or maybe even some ideas we haven't thought of... please let us know. I'd love the help... I'd love to see this team grow!

Create a new task that will need to be defined in details later on. The task is to create a tag wizard for Cold Fusion Studio to help developer write the code to use CF_CheckForm.

Alright folks, I just noticed there's no features for searching the forums. Instead I noticed that the mailing can be archived. I'm sure we can easily create a search facility for those. In addition, going to the mailing offers us the ability to monitor the forums in real time or by digest format. I think this is a great feature over the forums.

I started to write some examples on how to use the tag. Should be finished a few days.

Initiated a project for a sophisticated Date Validation Routine that would use keywords for defining a date format to be validated. I don't expect to start until the next here unless I get other people to join the team and pitch in the develepment task.

Anybody!?

New idea... creating a version system so that you can load various version of validation function. By this I mean you aren't restricted to use all the same version (usually the latest download version) for ALL the validation routine. This would make things easier to keep old code compatible with newer code making use of the tag.

Alright folks, I spent a bit more time tonight to setup the development site for this tag. You can now access the file release for version 1.0.0, 1.1.1 and 1.1.2
