The pseudo "tool-tips" that are "glued" on the PNG
image do not render Chinese characters properly --
these characters appear as squares.
By contrast the mouse-over tool-tips in the same chart
(if activated through an appropriate tooltipgenerator)
do display correctly.

I'm face this issue when display chart with Japanese
characters in the chart, all of them become squares. My JSP
file already has <%@page
contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8"%> in top of JSP file.
I'm using IBM Websphere Studio v5.1 and IBM Websphere App
Server 5.0, with the same JSP file it still display Japanese
character in another development computer!!! Strange issue.

Ah, I tested with Websphere App Server Express 6.0 in
WINDOWS XP SP1, it display characters correctly, note that
(above comment) if dev computer OS is Windows XP then
Japanese characters display correctly. For Windows 2000/2003
server/professional, Japanese characters cannot display in
chart.
(Please note: all of them (OS) are installed East Asian font
from Regigonal Settings)
What hotfix of Windows 2000/2003 or what configuration do I
need to install to correct this problem? Anyone can help?
