Hi, many thanks to all of you. (Please note, this email contains an attached file. You do not need to download it, unless you're interested in my "File is not a valid Windows CE application" problem.) First, let me say something about "missing libraries". 1. The PC utility "Dependency Walker": http://dependencywalker.com/ is a nice tool. It can "scan" PPC executables and libraries, too. The problem is that, it cannot see libraries installed in the PPC itself. All libraries need to be copied to the PC. But ... most of "system default" libraries on the PPC are residing in ROM and are "copy protected". I cannot "download" them to the PC. Hence, the check must be done in the PPC itself. 2. There exists a simple, "command line" driven, PPC utility called "Executability Check": http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Cupertino/2039/ which can be helpful (it checks which libraries are needed and it can "rewrite" both, the library name and it's version), but using it is a pain. 3. The ultimate PPC tool, for me, is the "PEInfo": http://s-k-tools.com/index.html?m_products.html Powerful and easy to use (and freeware). Now, back to my problem. I've got an idea. My "real" problem is related to a utility which "links" to added by me "compatibility" libraries. However, I've found another utility which gives me the same error, but it requires just few "system default" libraries. I believe that, if I solve the problem with this utility, I will also be able to do it for my "real" problem. Please find attached the "LD_2007.info.gz" file, which contains the "info" given by the "PEInfo" utility. Note, no single error, no single warning, all functions are found ... still "'LD_2007' is not a valid Windows CE application.". Thanks in advance, Best regards, Jacek. |
