So I guess the proposed solution, for now at least, is to set semantic-imenu-auto-rebuild-directory-indexes to nil? ..presumably through "customize." as fas as i can see: Yes! Possible option collections could include tag-lists (imenu), decorations (boundary, stickyfunc and attribute modes), smart-completion (auto-parse, smart-complete, eldoc), and debug (highlight changes, mode-line indicators) That would make it easier for a 1st time user to pick his favorites. The imenu variable to change for this specific problem is: semantic-imenu-auto-rebuild-directory-indexes.
