Hi, See the option `ecb-prescan-directories-for-emptyness'... But IMHO there is a problem either with your machine or with this directory the freeze occurs... Or this directory contains many many files and/or subdirs... ECB does a stealthy check so it can display empty dirs in ist Directory browser correctly... You can switch off this completely with the option mentioned above. Per default ECB performs this check for all dirs unless remote dirs...
