I usded cdrtfe1.3pre2 (portable version) and created an .iso file. Everything went fine. Then I wanted to burn the file to a blank cd-r and it actually burned the data (I can see it physically on the cd-r) but the cd-r seem to be blank in windows.
A manual fixation with cdrtfe is not possible, cause before fixation cdrtfe ejects the media. Since I use a notebook the ejected cd-r needs to be reinserted manually which isn't possible in cdrtfe since it cancels the fixation-task. However I used the commandline that I saw to do the fixation. That went fine... still the media seems to be blank.
So I actually got 2 issues:
Manual reinsertion of media isn't possible in cdrtfe.
I have no idea why copying a cd isn't possible with "creating iso"+"burning iso" (i used dao for burning)
Hope you can help!
Oliver

Maybe the writing process failed. Any error messages? What kind of CD did you try to copy?

This happens, if you call cdrecord -fix on a disc which has already been fixated.
Normally, a manual fixation shouldn't be needed, as cdrecord always closes the just written session or fixates the disc (unless you add the option -nofix). So, normally, the contents of the disc should be visible in Windows.

Yes, you're right. In some (rare) cases reloading a disc with notebook drives isn't possible with cdrtfe.

Well, the best way to create a 1:1 copy of a CD is to use the clone mode (both when creating and writing the image). In this case the writing mode has to be set to raw writing.
However, not all discs can be copied. I could successfully copy the following discs:
data cd, singlesession, dao -> dao mode and clone mode
audio cd, dao -> clone mode (using DAE with ccda2wav would be better)
vcd -> clone mode
xcd -> clone mode
I couldn't copy any kind of multisession discs.
I haven't tested Audio CDs in track at once mode and Mixed Mode CDs.
