The last free version was Turbo Delphi 2006 Explorer, which is the Delphi version used for the cdrtfe development. cdrtfe can be compiled with Delphi 7 to Delphi 2007, but not with newer versions (Delphi 2009, 2010, XE - XE8) as the cdrtfe sources haven't been adjusted for Unicode support.
I'm thinking of tinkering with CDRTFE but don't have Delphi. Is there a free Delphi that will compile CDRTFE?
Thanks.

Turbo Delphi Explorer isn't officially available any longer. However, it seems, as if the installer still can be downloaded. See https://aerodactyl.wordpress.com/2013/02/24/kostenlose-delphi-version-aktiv-2013/ for the links. To get a free license, write an eMail to info@embarcadero.com.
