Currently, cdrtfe does not support unicode. However, the next (test) version 1.2.4.0 will allow to select the input and output character set. Maybe, this is a possibility to prevent the file names from changing even if unicode is not supported. Full unicode support for cdrtfe may follow in one of the future releases, but definitely not before version 1.4.
