Operating system is Windows XP SP2 + it's patches.
With administrator rights Cdrtfe 1.3pre1 starts fine and see my CD writer (NEC-Sony AD-7173S).
With user rights (i.e. account is in the group Users) it say "Attention: No CD writer found. Nevertheless, images (data CD, XD) can be created."
What must be done to enable full cdrtfe functionality for accounts with user rights? For what objects permissions must be changed?
You can change the settings with the "Local Security Policy" console.
To open it: Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Local Security Policy.
Open the section "Local Policies" and select "Security Options".
Change "Devices: Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged-on user only." to ENABLED.
Thx. It works.
