The generated configure files are also contained in the released archives - and I think that's good because I do not expect that everyone has the autoconf tools installed which are only required if someone is doing active software development. Release files should be maintained in CVS so that I'd say we should keep it there. Or should we release cdrdao/gcdmaster without the generated configure files in future?
