[Cdrdao-devel] Can't read audio CDs

I can't read audio CDs with cdrdao, but it's OK with data CDs. I'm using
an HP IDE drive with SCSI emulation on Rock Linux with kernel 2.4.3.
Rock uses devfs by default, but I disabled that because I couldn't get
the SCSI emulation to work at all, and kludged up a conventional /dev
with the help of a MAKEDEV script from Slackware. I can't remember when
I last used it successfully, but it was definitely before I started
using Rock, and possibly even before kernel 2.4. This is also the first
time I compiled it from source AFAICR - I think I would have remembered
all the hassle with pccts if I'd done it before!

Anyway, when used on audio CDs it just prints a continuous stream of
errors like this:

Two of the figures in the CDB line change:- the A9 takes on all sorts of
values, and the 1A changes to 14 every few lines.

error report.
