Have you tried loading the toc file into gcdmaster and doing a dummy run? this will check the CDTEXT for consistency.
Do you "see the text" when burning under Windows?

O.K., I put the CD into my Sony CD-Player and I can't "see" CD-Text but I can hear the music. And yes, if the CDs are burned under Windows I can "see" the CD-Text.

Actually, the toc-file is created with gcdmaster.

Hi,
can anybody help me? Why this CD-Recorder doesn't work. It woks fine under Windows. I'm using cdrdao-1.1.5 with this command:
cdrdao write -v2 --device 0,0,0 --driver generic-mmc:0x10 --speed 8 --buffers 128 -n no.toc
This is my no.toc file:
CD_DA
CD_TEXT {
LANGUAGE 0 {
TITLE "New Order*Republic"
PERFORMER "New Order"
}
}
// Track 1
TRACK AUDIO
NO COPY
NO PRE_EMPHASIS
TWO_CHANNEL_AUDIO
CD_TEXT {
LANGUAGE 0 {
TITLE "Regret"
PERFORMER "New Order"
}
}
FILE "/home/gilsdorf/neworder/regret.wav" 0 10945152
SILENCE 468
// Track 2
...
It seems to work, I can hear the music but can't see the text.
Any ideas?
Bye
Frank

What version of cdrdao do you used?
Does it work with 1.1.4?
Thanks.
I tried 1.1.4, 1.1.5 and the actual cvs-Version. Always the same. Maybe the Yamaha 8824 isn't supported. But it works with Feurio under Win98.
Thanks
I will look into it in short. I'm a bit busy at the moment. I have the same recorder.
