I recently swapped out my old CDR for a new DVDR, but I still want to burn CDs
It's a TDK it says indiDVD on the box and DVDRW0404N in device manager. Cdrdao isn't working with the new device. Any suggestions?
thanks.

I've solved the problem, and it had nothing to do with cdrdao, but I figured I might as well post the solution in case it's helpful for somebody else. It turns out that the burning software that came with my drive (Roxio) installs a service called ScsiAccess that fights for control of the drive even when the buring software itself is shut down, stop the service and cdrdao works fine with the generic-mmc driver.
