I have an LG CED-8120B which supports raw writing as I could use it comfartably with CloneCD. But when I try to use the same with generic-mmc-raw driver the application is returning error the first of which is a CHECK CONDITION. have anyone successfully used it to do raw writing
Thanks and rgds

I tested my yamaha 8424s with full sucessfull on win98 and subchannel writing (raw writing) and under linux works fine but with generic-mmc. If I try generic-mmc-raw , the procedure starts, on the display I see ....writing 96 byte subchannel data , writing 3Mb of 24...(subchannel data + 700 Mb di data) and six or seven second after the scsi bus hung-up and reset and cdrdao show me the register status .
I have read the debug messages , and I saw a strange error ; the generic-mmc-raw driver , can't find a FAT partition????
I think that this drivers have been done for reading raw devices but not to write them.
Massimo
P.S. Is possible to ask to the driver proprietary to review it?
