Greetings

I have just purchased a Plextor 1610A because it is
highly regarded and listed as supported by cdrdao.

When I try to
read-cd or read-raw from this drive, my system locks and requires a
hard power reset. Writing works.

I am running Windows 98SE and
cdrdao 1.1.5. Yes, I read README.PlexDAE; auto insert
notification is turned off for both the Plextor and my LITE-ON DVD-ROM
drive. I have tried all combinations of DMA on and off for both
drives.

Any help appreciated - I am trying to copy SVCDs, and
CloneCD and Nero both fail.
