last few days I've successfull adapted the latest NIOS GNUPro tool chain version 3.1 for Linux (CDK4NIOS). New:

* binutils 2.9-nios-010801-20030923
* gcc/c++ 2.9-nios-010801-20030923
* gdb 4.18-nios-010801-20030923
* libgloss 1.0 and niewlib 1.8.2
* libstdc++ 2.10-nios-010801-20030923

With 3.01 CDK4NIOS was born at Sourceforge. Feel free and test the GNU C/C++ suite for Altera's NIOS soft core processor under Linux.
