the smart parser is now able to parse ring atom as well as ringconnection atom.( r and x) i am using the documentation at this page. http://www.daylight.com/dayhtml/doc/theory/theory.smarts.html Now here is some conflict about the expression or i am asking to implement the smart pattern as it is given there. It is not a problem for me to implement as it is. Before that we need to resolve something. here are some of the problems 1) R and r both indicate the ring atom ,should we use both of them. 2) X represents the total connection and D represent the explicit connections old parser identify the D token, should we also have this X token if so what will be the benifit of that. One more change needed in old parser is detection of default token means .. older parser identify the D,h and H token but if and only if it is associated with number like D<n> but not D(which means exactly one) so i have also modified these expression to detect the defaults. -- ******************************** sushil ronghe Center of Pharmacoinformatics India ********************************* |
