I have googled this multiple times and have tried different methods with no success. Do any of you know how to change the wallpaper backdrop in CDE to my my personal one? How many bits is the max? Thanks.

    Update:

I did it. The only thing is you cant use full screen color wallpapers. Only tiled. All black and white is supported i think.

In dtstyle (Style Manager) set your backdrop to "No Backdrop"

Then run your preferred app to set wallpaper. I use nitrogen. That will put your awesome cat photos as the system backdrop :)

    Hi,
get a an image of you sreen resolution. Then save it in in XPM format in ~/.dt/backdrops
However style manager can only read .PM format, so you should change the extentions from .XPM to PM. Reload the Style manager you your backdrops should appear in the list.
