[Cdemu-devel] cdemu and ubuntu

Hello,

I have been trying to use cdemu for ages now but it never worked for me.

I tried on 2 computers from feisty to hardy compiling from source or
installing directly from packages (ppa). Nothing! Bum...

When I try to launch the command $ cdemu status
it gives me an error about dbus:

ERROR: Failed to connect to CDEmu daemon:
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name
net.sf.cdemu.CDEMUD_Daemon was not provided by any .service files
ERROR: Failed to connect to daemon!

If I try to use another application using dbus like fspot I got:

Unable to create /home/rodgersan/.dbus/session-bus
System.ApplicationException: F-Spot cannot find the Dbus session bus.
Make sure dbus is configured properly or start a new session for f-spot
using "dbus-launch f-spot" ---> System.Exception: Unable to open the

It happens with epiphany too, local bookmarks don't appear.

If I uninstall cdemu, everything comes back. 

So I googled a little and found this (among many others):

Is this a (known) bug? Is somebody experiencing the same problem?
