I have one fear with respect to using | sourceforge as some kind of primary site, which is that sourceforge | seems to go up and down more often than a yoyo. | | I'm quite happy in the short- to medium- term to do some paperwork and | have allowed anonymous ftp uploads to www-jcsu, which would allow the | same kind of thing, though admittedly this (a) may not work and (b) | would have to be reviewed in a couple of years' time anyway when I get | round to writing my thesis. | | Alternatively, if people think that SF connectivity is good enough, | that would be fine. I think Sourceforge will do for awhile if: - we get rsync working - have enough mirrors in case it is in yoyo-mode - have enough mirrors when we're experimenting The most important thing imho is that all developers have access to web, the repository and the possibility to upload files right away. In my crystal-ball I see changes in the future for cCLan and it'd be nice to have full shell access when experimenting with rpms, portable lisp-packages, or any other scheme someone comes up with etc. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Stig Erik Sandoe st...@ii... http://www.ii.uib.no/~stig/ |
