Hi, using Emacs for editing Java, and I want to indent like so if (foo) { bla; } i.e. opening brace on the same line as the "if". This works already, but I always have to enter the space between the ) and the { manually. Is there a clean-up function that would automate this? I'm thinking of something as simple as (if (looking-back ")") (insert ? )) Would that work? Or is that even already implemented and I just did not find it? If not: what's the correct way to add a custom clean-up function? It's a couple of years that I last wrote elisp, so please bear with me. Best, Norbert P.S.: If possible, please also CC me because I don't regularly read this mailing list. --nk |
