We are wondering how the standard design exterior wall envelope assembly is determined. More specifically we have found that when you input a light mass object with a metal framing furring behind that layer then the standard building uses the metal framed assembly in the baseline case instead of the light mass assembly. Is this an error or how the Standards and ACM state the baseline wall assembly be determined?
