Mike,

Thanks for the info. I used the struts.jar and
tiles.jar files from the "Struts 1.1 beat 1" and was
able to successfully compile. If I don't use the
tiles.jar file, then the same compilation error
appears as earlier. I think you have to update the
deploy docs - to include the tiles.jar.

My background : I have about 5 years of IT experience,
working on Java(J2SE, J2ME, J2EE), C/C++, XML,
Databases etc. Am working right now as Software
Engineer in Singapore, involved in analysis, design,
development activities.

Let me know if I can contribute in some manner in this
project.
