Same Idea as in a church bulletin:
An announcement app would be a good, simple, check-off type app. Title, Author, Date, Date Posted, Announcement with the ability to turn the components on or off. CSS class for each component type. Add Announcement, fill out a form, click Post, new announcement goes at the top (or bottom) of the list.
