Some time ago, I 'extracted' the Multiboot template kernel code from the
Grub sources, cleaned it up (sort of) and posted on my website:

If you get funky compile errors about symbols prefixed with underscores,
try toggling
  #define HAVE_ASM_USCORE 0
in multiboot.h.
