#2 Automation: Saveable actions and scheduling

Hello,

it would be nice if synchronization actions could be
saved in order to be reprocessed at a later time.

Then saved actions could be executed by an (external)
scheduler through command line parameters.

That would give the power to synchronize folders in
local or remote networks, i.e. Mozilla profiles in
Internet cafés or corporate networks, free and
cross-platform.

Inluding and excluding of certain files or subfolders
would be necessary, though.

I agree that saving synchronization settings should be
possible.
I will work on this one.

How do you want your "external" scheduler to execute the
synchronization? Do you want to use command line interface?

It would be nice if users would give me some more feedback
about this request.

Good to hear that, I am looking forward to the next version!

As I already mentioned in my feature request, I would prefer
command line parameters for external schedulers like crontab
or Windows Task Scheduler.

After the basic command line interface has been established
an internal scheduler could be done by using Quartz for example:

An alternative to saveable actions, and probably easier to implement, would be to support command line parameters to specify the two connections.
