      G'day,

Have you tried enabling DMA transfers on parport_pc using a dma argument?  I assume you don't have a printer plugged into the scanner either?  There seems to be no response at all in that output :(

      hi!

yes i try passing those parameters in modules.conf, but now i reinstall everthing with rpms, backend, frontend, libieee1284 and compile scan driver but says me:
      Finding IEEE1284 ports...
          parport0 (0x378): <raw><cpt><nbl><byt><swe><irq>... OK (ecp-swe).

      Detecting scanner:
      Timeout: Scanner wakeup reply 1 (0x03 in 0x1f) - Status = 0x1f
      Timeout: Scanner wakeup reply 2 (0x03 in 0x1f) - Status = 0x1f
      Timeout: Scanner wakeup reply 1 (0x03 in 0x1f) - Status = 0x1f
      Timeout: Scanner wakeup reply 2 (0x03 in 0x1f) - Status = 0x1f
      Timeout: Scanner wakeup reply 1 (0x03 in 0x1f) - Status = 0x1f
      Timeout: Reply 2 (0x0c in 0x1f) - Status = 0x1f
      initialise: could not wake scanner
Fatal: Unable to initialise scanner! (Code 1)
      when i scan -C

      any idea................. please!!!!!!!!!!!!

      best regards!

      Arturo
