Migrating from m2eclipse to q4e

Candy for AppFuse is being refactored in order to drop the dependency on m2eclipse (tycho)[1] for providing maven support. Instead, q4e[2] will be used.

Project pages and update site for Candy will be available for those interested, but be aware that existing versions do not include the latest release of m2eclipse and neither can use the official 2.0 archetypes in AppFuse.

Depending on user interest and available time, a maintenance release with both changes could be published to the update site.... read more

Should Candy for AppFuse support Eclipse 3.2 / WTP 1.5 ?

The current plan is to target Eclipse 3.3 / WTP 2.0 for future development.

Candy for Appfuse 0.3.1 released

A new release f Candy for AppFuse is waiting on the update site [http://candy4appfuse.sourceforge.net/site/] for those wanting to give it a spin.

New on this version:
* Detected and fixed a severe problem when running under windows.
* Updated m2eclipse including patched maven-embedder (fixing several issues with m2eclipse).
* Download progress reporting when creating a project.
* Update available AppFuse versions and archetypes from the repositories..

Candy for Appfuse 0.1.2 released

This is a new release of Candy for AppFuse, which allows to create a new AppFuse project using any of the simple archetypes.

New in this version:
- Preliminary support for warpath dependencies.
- Correct capitalization of AppFuse ;)

This release can be downloaded from the project's file releases and also be installed by creating an eclipse update site pointing to http://candy4appfuse.sf.net/site

Candy for Appfuse 0.1.1 released

Candy for Appfuse, a set of eclipse plug ins allowing more comfortable use of Appfuse 2.0, version 0.1.1 has been released.

Current release is the first version (0.1.0) supports Appfuse 2 M4 and provides a wizard for creating new java projects based on the single-project archetypes. Maven2 integration is achieved through m2eclipse, so you can expect all your maven dependencies to be automatically on the eclipse build path (no more maven eclipse:eclipse), along with all the other goodies provided by m2eclipse.... read more

Candy for Appfuse 0.1.0 released

I’ve just launched Candy for Appfuse, a set of eclipse plug ins allowing more comfortable use of Appfuse 2.0.

Current release is the first version (0.1.0) supports Appfuse 2 M4 and provides a wizard for creating new java projects based on the single-project archetypes. Maven2 integration is achieved through m2eclipse, so you can expect all your maven dependencies to be automatically on the eclipse build path (no more maven eclipse:eclipse), along with all the other goodies provided by m2eclipse.
