It looks like the motion detect module isn't working properly. It will only detect the first movement after camsource's started then won't detect anything anymore.
I am running camsource on RH9, i tested with camsource to 8.0 (CVS) and the problem is always there.

You don't have a -1 for the number of writes in the config. file do you?
