Thanks David. I am on the NIEM LinkedIn group, but it is pretty high level. I did not know about the other ones. I just subscribed. Once I get my head above water, I will layout my workflow here. Would love to get some input. Right now I see NIEM as a high TCO. We need to streamline the implementation.

Ken, agree, we can certainly be that "where the rubber hits the road". The niem.gov site was trying to have a forum there but it got pulled for the usual "legal reasons".
So - here we are - totally on point with the TCO issues - CAM is built to solve that. I have turned an IEPD around in a day before now for a small exchange set. Up to two weeks for a moderately complex exchange - start to deployed working system.
And of course we are now orchestrating the deployment side with the bindings, web services and Open-XDX parts.
Always can do more with instructional videos and download show case packs - and we have made a start there with the http://www.verifyxml.org site. Happy to collaborate with folks on making these for new domain examples too.
Now we have this thread here - this is another point where we can post links to examples and such as we upload them,
I also have a Google site for incubating NIEM ideas. As they say in the commercials - "more is better" - well except for pimples and taxes that is...
Does anybody know of an active forum where developers are who are implementing NIEM that is active? The forums at www.niem.gov are completely empty.
Thanks!
Ken
Ken, great point - you started one right here! I'm at the NIEM NTAC meeting today and tomorrow here in DC. So definitely we can talk fluent NIEM.
Another place is the NIEM Tools and Tricks group on LinkedIn.
