TextTool patch that supports any of Unicode characters.
Proposed version contains all the characters needed for currently supported locales and Russian (which I would like to commit too).

2 things,
1) we have code in the 2.99 branch that already supports unicode and uses
TTF fonts directly. We want to backport this instead of making an new
system.
2) you replaced the fonts with different ones, we can't use those fonts due
to licensing issues on debian.

It would help if in the future you came onto IRC to talk about changes
before you take the time to make them so we can direct your generous work
in the direction that best benifits the project and our long term goals.
