The ATI Rage boot option doesn't seem to work.
I have tested it on two different systems.

System 1:
Celecron 533 coppermine.
Intel PII motherboard.
128M RAM
ATI Rage XL 8M pci (rage128pro)
Booted from DVD-ROM
This system would not start X with the Generic kernel
either.

System 2:
Athlon 650 T-bird.
VIA motherboard.
256M RAM
ATI Xpert2000 32M (rage128pro)
Booted from CD-ROM
