Great tool! Nice work!
I have a problem with multi-session. “Multi-Session
Settings” under “Driver Settings” are always grayed
out. I tried with DVD+RW and CD-RW. Why is that? Is it
not implemented yet?

My DVD-RW in my laptop is “HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4082N”.

There was a bug that I fixed with CD-RW. It will be in
the 6.1 release some time this next week. Multi-session
should work with CD-R and CD-RW after this release. There
is also experimental suport for DVD-R and DVD+R, but I am
still having some problems with this.

I have not figured out how to support multi-sessions with
DVD+RW and DVD-RW. Do other packages support multi-
sessions disks for this type of media? I am still trying
to decypher the SCSI MMC spec for these media.

    Thanks

Yes, multi-session is supported for DVD+RW and DVD-RW (Nero
and CDBurnerXP). Good to know about the bug fixes, you are
    my hero!

I have found a bug with ISO image creation in mutlti-
session disks which I am fixing this morning. With a
multi-session disk, the ISO/UDF image does not begin at
sector 0 but at some non-zero sector. This is causing
problems. It has worked previously but with the almost
complete re-write of image creation in vers 0.6 I must
have broke something. So, even is multi-sessions does
work in the existing 0.6 release for CD-R, the image
created will have problems. Look for a fix later this
    week.

Out of curiosity, what do you use multi-sessions disks
for? When trying to decide whether or not to support
multi-session I basically decided to support this because
other tools did, but I did not really know how you would
use them. Maybe to append a backup to an existing CD-R,
    DVD-R or DVD+R media, but with CD-RW, DVD-RW and DVD+RW
you could just erase the media and start at the beginning.

    Just curious?

    Thanks

I keep a DVD+RW with all my files and programs. It is
something less than 4GB. From time to time (every month) I
update it. Usually the changes involve a few MB. With
multi-session this just takes a minute or two instead of a
    lot more.
Also, you might want to write something to a CD-R or DVD-R
that isn’t really big, let’s say 100MB. Without
multi-session the rest of the space is wasted and you end up
with a lot half (or mostly) empty CDs and DVDs.
Generally I always go for multi-session in case I want to
change/add something. The only case I don’t is when I need
    100% of the medium.

    Any news on multi-session CDs/DVDs?
