Hi,

Burp 2 is now the latest stable release for a couple of months so you can safely use it.

You have to note though that only the protocol 2 is under heavy development and should be avoided in production. The protocol 1 (which is the default) is quite stable (probably more than burp 1 itself).

-------- Message original --------
Objet : [Burp-users] Burp 2
De : Frans Coomans <coo...@gm...>
À : bur...@li...
Cc :

Hi. We are still using Burp 1.x and loving it.

I see you list the current stable version as 2.0.54.

I am thinking of upgrading from 1.x to 2.x. On http://burp.grke.org/burp2.html, you say that Burp 2 should be used with extreme caution and backups done with Burp 2 might not work with future releases.

Is this page purely outdated or is this still true?

On that page you also recommend using Burp 2 in Burp 1 mode. Is this still valid or is it safe to use Burp 2 as Burp 2?

Regards,

Frans

|
