Thanks. Exactly what I was looking for.

I don't use the status monitor, but I tried it. It seems to work well. It still displays the
default timestamp, but it's not a problem there.

You did not answer the initial question :

Can I rename directories ?

I think burp uses only the auto increment to restore, but I would like your point of view.

Yes, that's not at all what I want.
I think I will just create a symlink, it should work just fine.
