I would say that this is likely not the same issue.
As you can see in my reply, 'Connection reset by peer' just means that the
other end of the connection went away for some reason (which could be anything
really). And that person didn't come back with any other details.

I will try to come up with a patch that can add more information than just
the SSL error code 1. Then, if it happens again, we might have more idea of
what is going on.
