I just installed Buddi an now I'm trying to set up my categories. It seems to me that categories can't be deleted? I already deactivated the "Show deleted Accounts and Budget Categories" in the view preferences pane, but whenever I select a category and choose "Delete Budget Categories" from the Edit-Menu, nothing happens.
- Opps: after saving the file, closing/restarting buddi it now worked. But I'm gonna post this, anyway..

Not sure if this is your problem or not, but you can only really delete a category / account when there are no transactions associated with it. In this scenario, you will be presented with a dialog asking if you want to mark as deleted or actually remove it. Select remove to actually delete it.
This behaviour is by design: once there are transactions in an account, if you were to delete that account it would leave the system in an inconsistent state. You have to first delete all transactions before you can delete an account (/ category).
