Umm... Sorry but it works fine for me with the latest version in CVS. However, I never fixed this issue before. Do you have other torrent files? I tested it on Python 2.2 bundled with Fedora Core 1. What about your environment? It probably involves to different version of python. Sugree Phatanapherom su...@hp... Mark McKinstry wrote: > Here is a torrent I got from suprnova. Here is a torrent I got from suprnova. Not my usual choice of a torrent but it's small and illustrates the problem :). I've noticed that btqueue won't create directories when there are spaces in the name of the directory. I don't know if thats the problem, just someting I noticed. Thanks Mark On Fri, 17 Dec 2004, Sugree Phatanapherom wrote: > Actually, I never got this problem before. I found btqueue about a week ago and like it a lot. The only problem I have is the same problem someone else had: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1170714&forum_id=360659 btqueue doesn't seem to work with directories. The torrent says it should create a directory, usiing BitTornado it does, but btqueue doesn't create or use a directory. Has this been fixed in CVS? Also when is the next release expected? Thanks for the great software. Mark |

Hi, The last field is shared ratio (uploaded/downloaded). You should let it seed until its shared ratio reach 100% or more to keep the file still torrent. x(y) of seeds and leechs indicate number of connected peers and number of available peers, respectively. However, some trackers do not allow clients to ask for y via scrape due to heavy load. You might see it to be '?'. Last night, I improved table formatting to let you assign your favorite fields including justification left, right, and center. It is already in CVS. Sugree Phatanapherom su...@hp... Hi, When I list the torrents in the shell, I get an output like this : 94.5% 93.84/99.34 --:--:-- 0.0 0.0 0(0) 5(3) running 34.7% As I understand it, these are : Progress, downloaded/complete, eta, dl rate, ul rate, seeds, peers, status, ??. I can't figure out the last one (34.7 %) and I don't know what 5(3) means? There are 5 peers, we are connected to 3 of them for example? (wild guess) Doruk -- FISEK INSTITUTE - http://www.fisek.org |

I got this problem last night after tweaking dynamic table layout. Anyway, like all you said, nothing reported to identify something wrong. I guess it should be problem of deadlock or synchronization somewhere in my code. I will find it more carefully. Sugree Phatanapherom su...@hp... Sugree Phatanapherom wrote: > Thank for your report. I have found timeout problem too. It seems like something went wrong during xmlrpc call and made xmlrpc interface to malfunction until restart. I am trying to dig into the code to find the problem. http://btqueue.blogspot.com/2004/12/multiple-commands-in-single-line.html I have just modified BTQueue to allow specifying multiple commands in a single line separated by semicolon (;). This feature is also available in alias so you can write simple procedure by yourself. Note that you have to quote semicolon if you want it being interpreted as normal character like before. For example, see below alias. alias -s super_detail "detail %(arg1)s;spew %(arg1)s" super_detail will call detail followed by spew. It has been committed to CVS so takes it and enjoy! -- Sugree Phatanapherom su...@hp... |

What about repeatly calling "btqueue.py query"? If you get timeout, the problem might be connectivity to some of tracker to refresh scrape since 0.0.17 has a bug to get all scrapes including waiting ones. Timeout usually causes by the queue being locked by schedule thread. Normally, the schedule thread should release the lock quickly but it might be slower if you have lots of torrent in the queue. Major delay are of gathering scrape. There is a minor bug here. BTQueue older than 0.0.18 will still try to get scrape information of all torrents in queue including finished ones. Another possible problem is DNS. BTQueue will temporarily not response if it is querying DNS. Hi there Why would I be getting the following: I am running btqueue.py daemon to start btqueue. I can run btqueue.py query, and it returns the results in under a second. When I run btqueue.py remote >>> list I get the following: -------- Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/BitQueue/manager.py", line 1502, in mainloop self.cmdloop() File "/usr/lib/python2.2/cmd.py", line 123, in cmdloop stop = self.onecmd(line) File "/usr/lib/python2.2/cmd.py", line 200, in onecmd return func(arg) File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/BitQueue/manager.py", line 1626, in do_list res = self.manager.do_list(line) File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/BitQueue/xmlrpc.py", line 124, in __call__ dict = self.__send(self.__name,(self.__id,)+args) File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/BitQueue/xmlrpc.py", line 164, in __request verbose=self.__verbose File "/usr/lib/python2.2/xmlrpclib.py", line 842, in request errcode, errmsg, headers = h.getreply() File "/usr/lib/python2.2/httplib.py", line 1009, in getreply response = self._conn.getresponse() File "/usr/lib/python2.2/httplib.py", line 760, in getresponse response.begin() File "/usr/lib/python2.2/httplib.py", line 269, in begin version, status, reason = self._read_status() File "/usr/lib/python2.2/httplib.py", line 231, in _read_status line = self.fp.readline() File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/BitQueue/timeoutsocket.py", line 381, in readline buf = self.recv(bufsize) File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/BitQueue/timeoutsocket.py", line 298, in recv raise Timeout("Recv timed out") Timeout: Recv timed out ------------ I get the same timeout for most commands run from btqueue.py remote Any ideas Chris |
