1) BT++ is out of date. It uses older versions of bittorrent for its core and has had no programmer follow on with the code for this program. It is still in alpha form meaning it has its fair share of bugs to work out. That will soon change.
2) BT++ allows clients to not have to upload a fair share back to the community after a certain torrent has completed. This has been a 'standard' in the development community to keep torrents alive.
