This list has been quiet for a long time, it's time to get it moving. We're= =20 working on getting more of the Exile->3030 merge completed right now and=20 things are progressing. There are a number of projects coming down the pipe= s=20 in the near future and we're hoping to really get things going on the BTMux= =20 front again. However, we're going to need a lot of input and help from the= =20 players and other interested parties out there. We're going through a period of expansion right now in terms of new feature= s=20 and we hope to get this done without introducing too many new bugs. Now is= =20 the time to suggest new things for the codebase if you have ideas before we= =20 start going into testing mode.=20 Suggestions don't have to be mainstream FASA to be accepted as long as they= =20 are reasonable. We're giving admins the capability to configure and sculpt= =20 their games how they like via a newly redesigned configure script that real= ly=20 makes things easy to customize. As is such, admins may turn off features th= ey=20 don't like and enable those they do. So even if your particular idea isn't= =20 likely to see a whole lot of use outside of a game or two, it's still=20 perfectly fine as long as it brings a new interesting element into the=20 codebase. Valid suggestions include things relating to: * Combat Dynamics * Templates * Terrain Types * Special Technologies * Ammo Types * Weapons * Softcode Functions and Extensions * And other constructive things So if you have some ideas about something and would like to voice them, re= ply=20 or submit an RFE on our feature request tracker at=20 http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=3D128056&atid=3D711030. Instructions for setting up your own BTMux are available at=20 http://docs.btmux.com/index.php/Getting_and_Updating_the_Source. If you have any questions, ideas, comments, or general discussion, direct=20 mails to this list or our forums at=20 http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=3D128056 |
