#495 Organization - add more contact/meta data to it
The current paradigm for "Organization" seems more about which organizaiton is generating bugs. I was imagining that it would be more about the various clients that we support. Our IT consultancy provides support and various projects from many clients. So, ideally we could have a robust organizational definition, including various contacts and even meta data, such as system info, about each client. That way, when our team addresses issues for each client...background information is readily available. Hope this helps...we love the system! www.caso.com
Organization is meant to be kind of general and flexible, so it can be used as "Client". About the contacts, meta data, although it makes sense, nobody else has asked. I guess most others have other, better, places to put that data.
I like the Org's set up over all, but its proving to be a bit of a challenge for our group set up as we have certain members that work across multiple orgs. Just a couple thoughts that might help enhance orgs:
* Allow users to be related to multiple orgs, right now it seems 1 to 1, would be nice we could break down permissions per user per org I guess.. but that might be a little challenging
* Would be nice if we could create projects / statuses / priorities that are specific to a given org. Maybe have a default set, and allow each org to have "additional" or something like that. I find that terminology from one client to another isn't always the same.
We use an internal wiki for the more meta data information collecting per client and just fill in the URL field with that
Many people do use "Organization" to represent clients.

There have been a few requests for more contact-like info. Maybe someday.
