This project is daunting, so we will have to work as a very close knit team.
I may have 2 project managers working with me to help dole out some of the tasks and make things smoother.
I say working WITH me because no one is beneath me. We all work together for a common cause. This is the way business should always be done. Everyone as an equal, working together, with equal credit for equal success.
The program is 4 fold:
It is a Traffic Program, which allows traffic managers to integrate with commercial
sales people, and decide when commercial spots must be played out during the day.
It is a Playlist, which organizes television and radio programs, keeping them in order
by time, so that commercial spots (which is what pays for TV & Radio to be on the air),
are insured of playing out at the specified time during the specified show.
It is a Machine Control Program, in which the play list tells specific videotape machines,
etc, when to fire a given program. It may be expanded later to allow for movement of
satellite gear, etc.
It is an Accounting program, which bills clients based on information retrieved from
the Playlist (was it actually played?)
The first program we will be working on will be the playlist. See Playlist under
