No sound from the GUI when a press a key.
A clue for you could be that when I start Bristol, my audio on Chromium/Firefox/etc. disappears...
Any help, pls?
Thanks!
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
The start up process looks ok, you are starting the Jack daemon, it opens ALSA. If your browser is also configured to use ALSA that is probably why it then loses it's audio: ALSA cannot easily be shared, it is either Jack the browser to something else.
You have a few options: use the -audio alsa option to tell Bristol to use ALSA rather than jack. The browser will still fail but the bristol may then work. use 'alsamixer' to check the volumes.
The other one is to try somethign like jackctl and make sure Jack has everything connected up correctly.
Hope that helps, regards, nick

No sound from the GUI when a press a key.
A clue for you could be that when I start Bristol, my audio on Chromium/Firefox/etc. disappears...
Any help, pls?
Thanks!
