Another basic feature that my wife absolutely can't
live without. ;) It would be great to see some more
sorting options, such as "First, Last", "Last,
First"..... and a way to select which columns to
display in the Line Based format.
Well... this will much likely not be implemented soon, since
I tend to keep the table structure as stable as possible and
your request requires a change...
I will keep it in mind for the next major change though....

Ok. How about just adding a column-selector? Our goal in
using BRIM is to have an easy-to-access database of all our
contacts, and then print off a neat list to hang near each
of our phones. The problem is, we want to remove "Web
Address" from the line-based listing and have "Address"
shown instead.
So for now, we're inserting our Address info into the Web
Address field, so it'll show in the line-based listing.
Unfortunately, if we edit the entry, it truncates the
address to the first "word". So "703 W. Elm St" becomes
"703". I understand that we're using the Web Address field,
which is not meant to have data with spaces...
Sorry for being long-winded, but now you understand what
we're trying to do. What do you think about the
implementation of a column-selector feature for the
preferences under Contacts?

Having checkboxes for each column in the preferences would
be nice.
